Blue Ribbon location to the best beaches...Torquay Front Beach, Cosy Corner and the Torquay Surf Beach. The position perfect 1900's stone bricked cottage is centrally located within minutes walk to the beaches, main shopping, hotel & restaurant precinct. You won't need to use the car at all! The cottage is full of charm and character with all the comforts for a seaside get away.
Sunnyside Up was built in 1910 and used as a butchers shop with the building behind used as the slaughter house for many years. It changed hands in the 1950's when Pat Morgan took it over to sell his surfboards making his famous surfboards from the building out the back. Inside the cottage is one of the original Pat Morgans surfboards and a "surfboard wax" sign that was found in the roof of Sunnyside Up during renovations. We also have a photo of the old butchers shop inside to get some idea of the old charm of Sunnyside Up.
The cottage has a modern open plan living design providing ample space for the family to gather. With bedrooms on the ground floor and on the mezzanine level. The current owners have the charm of the 1910's abode whilst bringing it also into the 21st Century. Enjoy living in one of the oldest buildings in Torquay.
