Buyers attracted to views and location of Ocean Grove house

THE view and location of a three-bedroom house in Ocean Grove are what attracted three bidders to its auction.

Bidding opened at $950,000 and the three parties competed for 47 The Avenue before it sold for $1.135 million to a Melbourne buyer.

Hayden, Ocean Grove agent Hugh McKewan said the buyers planned on holding onto the property for a while before doing some form of a development on it.

“It is a residential three zoning … you could potentially put a couple of townhouses on it,” Mr McKewan said.

Price expectations for the property were $1 million to $1.1 million.

The corner block has a two-storey house on it with views from both the ground floor and top storey.

It is walking distance to Ocean Grove Primary School, the shops, river and beach.
