Torquay Units Highly Sought After For Investment or Holiday Home

THE old Torquay location is what attracted two parties to bid for a two-bedroom unit at auction.

The unit, which could be an ideal investment, downsizer or holiday house, at 5/50 Boston Rd, Torquay sold for an undisclosed price above $500,000.

Hayden, Torquay agent Patrick Hayden said it sold under the hammer after bidding from two parties but there were other parties that didn’t get bids in.

“The buyers are from Melbourne and they have another property in Torquay but I’m not sure what their plans are, it could be an investment,” Mr Hayden said.

The unit has two bedrooms, both with built-in wardrobes, bathroom, laundry, kitchen and loungeroom.

There is also a single garage.

The property is walking distance to the shops and beach.

The median unit price in Torquay has increased 18.6 per cent in the past year to $575,000, according to CoreLogic.
